In March, 2025, members of the Borderless Tech Club, Uniuyo (BTC Uniuyo) made a bold move towards educational inclusion by connecting with students of Christian Secondary Commercial School (CSCS), Uyo, at the Ibom Blockchain Summit. That connection has now evolved into a practical effort to onboard younger students into the Web3 ecosystem.

Borderless Tech Club, Uniuyo, the B<>rder/ess Developers Tech Club of  the University of Uyo, is committed to raising the next generation of web 3 tech enthusiasts and making an impact on the youths in Uyo. Their passion goes beyond campus walls and is now aimed at shaping lives at the grassroots level. 

Launch of the Cipher Sessions

Following the success of the summit interaction, BTC Uniuyo launched its Cipher Sessions,  a series of educational workshops designed to onboard secondary school students into the Web3 ecosystem. 

These sessions run from May to July 2025, offering the students a hands-on interactive learning experience in blockchain, digital identity, Web 3 technology and more.

Facilitators of the program shared their reflections on X (formerly Twitter), describing the experience so far as “surreal.” In their words, “it feels our hearts with much joy, educating these young minds and teaching them everything they need to thrive in the world of Technology and Web 3.” 

Collaboration With The Soll Network

To expand the reach and effectiveness of the Cipher Sessions, BTC Uniuyo has partnered with The Soll Network, a Web3 Initiative managed by Ib_soll. The Soll Network stands out for its practical approach to blockchain literacy. 

 The Soll Network  has a mission to scale practical Web3 education, not with vague pitches, but with the right tools and programs. The network boasts an impressive track record:

• Over 3,000 listeners across its educational events
• 200+ individuals onboarded into Web3 Training programs in Blockchain Analytics, NFTs, DeFi, and design. 

The Soll Network brings structured experience to the collaboration and  will enable BTC Uniuyo to assist and enlighten the students to become the next creators and innovators in the technology and Web 3 Ecosystem. 

This collaboration aims to offer more than exposure. It seeks to equip students with the foundational knowledge and tools to participate meaningfully in the evolving digital economy. For BTC Uniuyo, it marks a step forward in building a more inclusive tech space.
