Ahead of its upcoming Epoch 8 Round, Octant has launched a design contest with a total prize pool of 4.33 ETH, inviting visual designers to contribute to the identity of selected Ethereum-based projects.
According to the announcement, the goal is not only to fund meaningful contributions to the Ethereum ecosystem but also to elevate the visual presence of projects participating in the round.
The initiative, titled “Design for Ethereum,” seeks entries that include brand guidelines and logo designs tailored to specific teams within the Octant cohort.
Designers are encouraged to select one or more projects from the following list:
@defiscan_info,
@AestusRelay,
@OSObserver,
@eas_eth,
Act,
Hevm, and
Samba.
Each winning submission will receive 0.618 ETH, and multiple winners will be selected. The contest runs from 26th June to 3rd July 2025 (closing at 3 PM UTC). Results will be announced on 8th July 2025.
Contestants are also invited to share the reasoning behind their design decisions. As this may act as bonus points and influence final selections. Submissions are to be entered here at @jokerace_io.
Rather than a typical bounty campaign, this effort positions design as a key component of project identity within Ethereum. By highlighting the importance of visual identity, Octant emphasizes the value of design in ecosystem growth.
The competition provides an entry point for designers to engage with protocol-level projects, contribute to the Ethereum design narrative, and gain visibility through practical, on-chain aligned work.
