The B<>rder/ess ecosystem continues to decentralize opportunity with clarity, community, and practical skills that matter. Through a blend of practical learning, grassroots community engagement, and Web3 innovation, B<>rder/ess continues to redefine what it means to build in tech across African campuses and beyond.
The month of June was no different. The ecosystem was busy with high-impact activities from various Borderless Tech Clubs (BTCs), including UNIZIK, UNIUYO, and central HQ initiatives, each tailored to upskill and empower.
In UNIZIK, BTC held a two-week Content Creation Bootcamp that trained over 20 active participants in video editing, graphic design, and content writing. With 95 total registrations and hands-on daily sessions, participants didn’t just learn—they created.
Two standouts, @clevnoni and Chiemerie, earned 2-month mentorships to deepen their skills. The goal was clear: empower members with the creative tools to tell stories, drive community, and add value in digital spaces.
Over at UNIUYO, BTC members took tech education to the grassroots by engaging secondary school students at the Christian Secondary Commercial School. They introduced crypto basics like creating wallets, understanding seed phrases, and online safety. The result? Empowered students who now understand the critical importance of digital responsibility in the Web3 age.
The B<>rder/ess HQ amplified the month with the Build on Base Challenge (June 16–21), a one-week Bootcamp where developers and creatives explored tools within the Base Ecosystem. It featured sessions on Farcaster MiniApps, AI-powered coding, and monetizing creativity on Zora and other dApps blending technical rigor with economic opportunity.
Meanwhile, the ReFi and Web3 Bootcamp (May 26–June 9) was a two-week deep dive into regenerative finance, onchain careers, DAOs, and ecological innovation. With backing from major ecosystem players like @Celo, @RegenCoordinate, and @BitsaveProtocol, learners explored how to link blockchain with social impact and sustainability.
July will kick off with Cipher Sessions—a free, open-access training on Web Design, UI/UX, and Solidity. The mission remains consistent: democratize access, create skilled builders, and foster communities that thrive onchain and offline. Click here to register.
