Superteam has announced a new bounty focused on game design, with a total of $5,000 USDC available in rewards. The bounty is specifically for builders in Nigeria and challenges participants to develop gameplay concepts that showcase the potential of Honeycomb Protocol in creating on-chain progression systems.
The call is open to developers, designers, and creatives who are interested in exploring how blockchain can power player experience in more dynamic ways, beyond just collectibles and scores. With Honeycomb, players can gain verifiable traits, complete missions, and build a persistent identity across games. The bounty is centered on bringing those possibilities to life in original, playable prototypes.
So far, only one submission has been recorded. With just over two weeks left, there’s still time to apply and take part, but there’s a catch: you must apply and be approved before you begin building. This is to ensure that only serious contributors join the race and submit within the time frame.
Participants are expected to create a basic but functional MVP (either on Solana devnet or mainnet), supported by a short walkthrough video and a public GitHub repository. The gameplay must clearly demonstrate how Honeycomb Protocol is powering core features such as:
- Missions or quests
- Trait evolution or assignment
- Experience systems or on-chain progression
Games can be 2D or 3D, single-player or multiplayer, casual or competitive. The brief is open-ended, what matters is how well the game uses Honeycomb as part of the actual player logic, not just as a backend add-on. Submissions will be judged based on creativity, technical execution, clarity of the codebase, and how well Honeycomb is integrated into the experience. Extra points may be awarded for games that make use of other Solana tools like Verxio, Anchor, or Solana Pay.
This bounty remains open till the 25th of July, 2025. Winners are expected to be announced by July 30, 2025. To apply or learn more, the full bounty details are available here.
