Developers can unleash their creativity in the Solana Cypherpunk Hackathon, a fully online global event hosted by Colosseum and powered by the Solana Foundation. Running from September 25 to October 30, 2025, this hackathon invites developers, students, and innovators to create groundbreaking projects rooted in privacy, decentralization, and open finance.
With over $2.5 million in prizes and funding, the hackathon is the perfect stage to launch the next big idea on the Solana blockchain.
This hackathon welcomes everyone from solo coders and teams to even non-technical creators like marketers and designers. Applicants will compete in one of six tracks: DeFi, Real World Assets (RWAs), Consumer Apps, Stablecoins, Infrastructure, or the open-ended Undefined track for bold, unconventional ideas.
Each track awards $5,000 to $25,000 for the top five projects. Standout teams can also snag special prizes, like the $30,000 Grand Champion award from Phantom, $10,000 Public Goods and University Awards from the Solana Foundation, or up to $10,000 in Solana Mobile Developer Grants for dApp Store launches.
Top teams will also get a shot at Colosseum’s Accelerator, which offers $250,000 in pre-seed funding, exclusive mentorship, and access to Solana’s elite founder network. The accelerator kicks off with two weeks of in-person guidance at Colosseum’s San Francisco office. Past Solana hackathons have fueled 6,500+ projects and unlocked over $700M in funding.
To help interested builders, Colosseum hosts free livestream workshops from September 26 to October 21, featuring Solana experts like Jacob Creech and Nico. Builders can also check out the “How to Win a Hackathon” guide for tips on team-building and submissions.
Register here, form your team, and submit by October 30, 2025. Follow @ColosseumHQ and @Solana on X for updates.
