After reviewing over fifteen applications, LiskDAO has approved the first 3 Builder Grants and the 3.65M $LSK funding for Lisk season 1 is now live.
Lisk DAO, an organization accelerating the development and growth of the Layer 2 blockchain built for high growth markets on Ethereum is set to support builders and strengthen Lisk’s role in the superchain.
Lisk Season 1 is a funding program designed to boost the Lisk ecosystem by supporting projects that build new solutions and enhance existing ones on Lisk Mainnet. Initiatives that create long-term value for the Lisk ecosystem are considered for funding.
The theme for Lisk Season 1 is “A Foundation for Real-world Acceleration.”
Season Structure
For the first season of LiskDAO, two councils will exist.
¶ LiskDAO Grants Council: They are tasked with operating two programs, the Builder Grants and Ecosystem Incentives.
¶ LiskDAO Steering Committee: They are tasked with evaluating and reporting on the Program’s Result.
What Is Being Funded?
Here are the three projects LiskDAO is bullish on in the Season 1 round;
- The LiskDAO Rejuvenation Project:
This project led by @jujuboyNFT, is a community initiative aimed at championing LiskDAO as a key growth engine.
Through creative content, conversations surrounding decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) conversations and gamified quests, it aims to rebuild excitement around governance and boost Total Value Staked (TVL) through stakings and delegations.
- Acquiring New Talent by @Pro_pellant:
Pro_pellant is changing how talent connects with onchain opportunities. Using credentials checks, NFT skill badges, and gasless transactions on Lisk Mainnet, Pro_pellant is making it easy for job seekers to showcase their skills.
- FreelanceFlow by @nicodemuskipto0:
FreelanceFlow is a payment platform built on Lisk that helps African freelancers get paid in Stablecoins.
This platform expands Lisk’s reach into emerging markets and makes it easier for builders to launch stablecoin products onchain.

How to Apply for Funding
Submission of proposal for Lisk DAO funding is open until June 11th 2025. At this time, interested participants can apply based on their project’s stage.
The appropriate funding streams are:
- Pre-product / MVP: Check out the live Lisk Programs to support early development.
- Live Product: Apply for Builder Grants (10,000 to 75,000 LSK) for active projects.
- Mature Product: Consider Builder Grants and/or Liquidity Incentives.
- Builder Programs: Submit a proposal to fund one or more builder initiatives contributing to the Lisk ecosystem.

For live Products, complete the LSK Builder Grant template.
For Mature Products, Consider the LSK Incentive Grant or LSK Builder Grant on your projects needs
Work with the Grants Council for input and feedback in the workspace.
Once the Intake Phase has passed (after your proposal has received a thumbs up), your grant will be moved to the Grant Review stage.
After reaching the Grant Review, the Grants Council will meet to discuss whether the grant has passed or not.
