Want to build dApps, learn about smart contracts, or launch a meaningful career in Web3? The July Cipher Session by B<>rder/ess showed what was possible for learners across its ever-growing tech community.
Kicking off the month with unmatched energy, the July Cipher Session gave participants free access to three in-demand skill tracks: Web Design & Development, UI/UX Design, and Solidity. With a mission to decentralize access to digital skills, B<>rder/ess empowered hundreds of aspiring techies to take the first step toward becoming builders in Web3.
At UNIBEN, the Borderless Tech Club launched a focused campaign to recruit new members ready to stop dreaming and start building. With open applications here and mentorship opportunities, they emphasized one core message: Web3 is here, and it’s for you.
Meanwhile, in Port Harcourt, B<>rder/ess joined the Base Onboarding Workshop hosted by @BasedOnes_. @_karlagod energized the room with a demo of the SaveFi project, showing how @BitsaveProtocol makes saving on @base easy and accessible. Several sessions reminded attendees that real tools can drive real change.

In Uniuyo, B<>rder/ess took Cipher beyond universities and into classrooms where tech exposure is rare. Secondary school students, most of whom had never used a computer before, were taught how to type, navigate files, and understand desktop functions. From there, they explored the basics of blockchain, created digital wallets, and were introduced to DeFi and NFTs. For many, this was a first step into the digital world—delivered freely, passionately, and with care.
And in a wholesome affair, July came with a joyful celebration: the wedding of community dev @OhwodiasaPraise. As a longtime contributor to the B<>rder/ess ecosystem, Praise’s union was a shared moment for the entire community as the ecosystem celebrated one of its own with pride and warmth.
From bootcamps to Base, from secondary school labs to wedding halls, July proved once again that B<>rder/ess is not just building tech skills—it is building people, purpose, and lasting connections. And the movement is only just gaining momentum.
