Clapmi HQ, an innovative livestreaming platform, has just announced receiving a $20,000 grant from Lisk in collaboration with Lisk Africa. This milestone comes right after their successful completion of the AyaHQ (@ayahq_) incubation program, marking a significant validation for emerging builders in the space.
The grant is part of the AyaHQ x Lisk Incubation Program, a targeted initiative designed to empower African on-chain startups. AyaHQ, a Techstars-backed accelerator, partners with Lisk, a blockchain platform focused on emerging markets, to provide structured support for Web3 projects.
The program, which typically spans three months in a hybrid format (online workshops via Zoom and Discord, plus in-person sessions in hubs like Kilifi, Kenya), offers mentorship from global experts, a comprehensive curriculum on blockchain fundamentals, product development, tokenomics, fundraising, and growth strategies.
Eligibility emphasizes purpose-driven solutions for local challenges, such as financial inclusion and digital economies. Upon graduation, standout projects like Clapmi receive up to $20,000 in milestone funding. To date, the program has disbursed over $168,000 across cohorts, with impressive outcomes: 88% of participants exceed expectations, and 76% refine their MVPs significantly.
The present fund is not isolated, as similar grants have gone to ventures like Konnadex (a Web3 payments gateway) and Cryptomomo Africa (a USSD-based crypto wallet), highlighting Lisk’s $15M EMpower Fund commitment to regions like Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
About Clapmi HQ
Founded by CEO Justice Eneje (@CHIEFIKENGA), Clapmi HQ is redefining livestreaming by blending Web2 accessibility with Web3 incentives. At its core is a platform for competitive live battles where creators host real-time contests, and fans engage through “claps,” interactive actions that support favorites and unlock rewards for all.
Key features include:
- Live Competitions: Streamers battle it out in engaging formats.
- Rewards Ecosystem: Both creators and viewers earn value, fostering a true creators’ economy.
- Hybrid Model: Seamless integration for users new to blockchain, targeting underserved markets in Africa.
Clapmi aims to empower emerging creators amid economic challenges like inflation and limited banking access. Their active Discord community buzzes with early testers, and this grant will accelerate scaling, innovation, and deeper impact.
This funding underscores the critical role of such programs in bridging gaps for Web3 startups in emerging regions. In Africa, where crypto adoption is skyrocketing but resources are scarce, grants like this provide more than capital; they offer validation, networks, and technical enablement. Graduates further gain investor exposure through Demo Days (e.g., upcoming on November 26, 2025), equity opportunities, and integration into global ecosystems.
Lisk’s anti-sybil measures ensure fair rewards, promoting sustainable growth. Ultimately, this empowers builders to create inclusive digital economies, driving adoption in regions poised for explosive growth.
