The Octant Community Fund (OCF2) has started taking applications for its second round of funding. Following the success of its inaugural grant round an impressive 48 ETH pot for Octant growth was recorded. Also, community rounds and grantees such as NacionBankless, geniusyinka and even Gitcoin were funded. Building on the remarkable feat of the first round Octant is kicking off round 2 with almost double the funding.

The application starts from 4th November and will last until 22nd November, 2024. The review of application and announcement of results will commence from 23rd November, 2024 until 9th December, 2024.For this round, each Application will be assessed based on:Alignment: That is, how well the submitted proposal aligns with the goals and funding directive of Octant.Impact Potential: The project will be assessed by its expected value if successfully implemented.

Likelihood of Success: The feasibility of the project’s implementation and the team’s ability to deliver will be a strong point for assessment.Budget Justification: Projects will be examined by the transparency of their budget.

Discretionary Factors: There will also be allowance for additional scoring based on Unique/Noteworthy aspects. As an improvement from their previous round, there are currently 3 funding categories.

They include:GLM Locking Initiatives – This is for communities that can help grow Octant’s unique token ( GLM) for their epoch participation and governance engagement.

Marketing — Octant is looking to grow visibility and awareness, so if you are great at creating contents and have an audience that really connects with you then this grant round is for you.
