As part of the three categories criteria for the ENS × Octant $80k usdc in rewards Quadratic Funding Round on Giveth, @borderlessdev is applying as an infrastructure and education project. 

The organization hopes to use the matching funds to grow and set up a new Web3 hub in @Borderlessunn University of Nigeria Nsukka and also build a web3 onboarding and education tool called, byteonchain.xyz

Why Does This Matter?

Web 3.0 is still not a widely recognized ecosystem, especially in regions like Africa with diverse economic challenges ranging from lack of access to resources, power outages and unstable internet access. 

For the few persons who have persisted beyond these challenges, @borderlessdev is cushioning a solution movement to support their enthusiasm while also onboarding interested persons into the Web 3 ecosystem.

In 2024 alone, B<>rder/ess, through 3 Blockchain Cipher Sessions recorded the move of over 154 web 2 developers to the web 3 ecosystem.

To solve the complaint of lack of resources, Borderless provided 10 laptops to contributors and held 16+ skill development sessions that had over 160 students in attendance.

By being at the forefront of interactions with newbies in the space, B<>rder/ess was open to the difficulties they faced getting onboarded.

To curb this the organization built, byteonchain.xyz, an easy onboarding tool that has provided over 170 user’s with gas fees to perform on chain attestations.

At the start of 2025, B<>rder/ess embarked on one of its biggest projects yet, building a product house and physical hub in the University of Nigeria Nsukka led by @Borderlessunn

The hub and Product House helps Developers get the necessary skills and collaboration to take their project from ideas to launch, helping young people contribute to real-world open source blockchain projects.
