In a recent move to spotlight community efforts, LiskHQ, in collaboration with LiskDAO, has introduced the Pioneer Awards, a pilot initiative designed to reward individuals actively contributing to the growth of the Lisk ecosystem.
This first round will see 65,000 LSK distributed amongst 50 recipients, including developers, educators, and advocates who have made notable contributions over the past 18 months.
Awardees were selected based on the consistency and relevance of their impact, and are categorized into three recognition tiers:
• Top Tier: 2,500 LSK
• Middle Tier: 1,000 LSK
• Entry Tier: 500 LSK
Alongside the LSK allocation, each recipient receives a digital badge, access to an exclusive Pioneer role, and potential access to future incentives linked to continued engagement.
Meet Some of the First Lisk Pioneers
- Yan Zero
Yan is the Founder of Web3Jogja, and has played a foundational role in developer onboarding across Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Through free trainings sessions and meet-ups, Yan has mentored many early developers, Lisk’s large tools and helped organize events specific to emerging talents within his region.
- Peter
Peter has been central to technical onboarding efforts. He has led several Lisk Masterclass sessions focused on smart contract development and education. His tutorials and sessions style has provided learning access for new developers and created clearer pathways to building on Lisk.
- Godswill Akpan
Godswill has supported early stage founders through focused bootcamps and hands-on support. By championing the strategy “build in public”, he has expanded awareness of Lisk’s capabilities amongst start-up builders and developers.
These contributors, with work that spans across consistent knowledge sharing and long term ecosystem engagement, exemplify what it truly means to be a Lisk Pioneer.
What’s Next for the Program?
The Pioneer Awards are only the beginning. According to the LiskDAO team, future rounds may include expanded nomination categories, broader community involvement, and more flexible contribution pathways.
Whether through grants, campaigns, or now awards, Lisk is building structured pathways for contributors to get involved and be recognized. These initiatives are positioning the network to evolve with the people shaping it.
The Pioneer Awards is proof that Lisk is invested in the people behind its success.
