Lisk has officially launched its User Mainnet, a Layer 2 network built to make blockchain technology accessible and useful in everyday life. Originally a standalone Layer 1 blockchain, Lisk recently connected with the Ethereum ecosystem and joined the Optimism Superchain. These patrtnerships puts it alongside networks like Uniswap’s Unichain and Sony’s Soneium.
The Lisk User Mainnet is designed to scale efficiently, lowering costs for practical app development that serve real-world needs. Lisk focuses on high-growth regions, particularly Africa and Southeast Asia. Its development priorities include payments and stablecoins, benefiting everyday users.
Beyond its technical features, Lisk’s partnerships are central to its vision. Collaborations with Circle for seamless USDC access, Rarible for NFTs, and Velodrome for liquidity on Optimism bring unique resources to its ecosystem, strengthening Lisk’s reach and interoperability.
Lisk has introduced the “App Bounty Quest,” an incentive program for developers building dApps. This program rewards developers for pushing the boundaries of what is possible on its platform. Lisk’s upcoming blog post will also reveal details on an airdrop campaign for LSK tokens.
With the Lisk User Mainnet now live, Lisk is setting the stage for blockchain to play a real part in people’s lives, starting with the markets that need it most.
