Octant Octant

Octant has launched its most exciting initiative yet—a chance to win over $100k in prizes while supporting vital public goods projects. It is as simple as joining the Ethereum community’s push for innovation and being rewarded for your contributions.

To enter the sweepstakes, participants must complete two steps:

  • Fund at least one participating project using ETH staking rewards earned by locking GLM in Octant. Even minimal donations qualify.
  • Accumulate points from the Octant Guild Platform.
  • The more you donate and earn points, the better your chances to win!

The total eligibility weight will be determined by combining donations and Guild points, thereby increasing the chances of winning. Winners will be announced on Discord on November 5th at 10 AM PST during the bLockparty, where various community activities will also take place.

For this inaugural sweepstakes, the prizes include:

  • 1 Grand Prize Winner: 200,000 $GLM
  • 5 Mid-Tier Winners: 40,000 $GLM Each

Winners will have their $GLM tokens locked for one year in Octant, allowing them to generate staking rewards during that time. This ensures ongoing benefits while supporting the growth of public goods. The team emphasizes transparency to ensure all participants understand the process.

The winning probability is based on two factors: ETH donations and Guild Points. Donations are calculated using a multiplier to balance their influence against Guild points. The more participants donate and engage, the higher their chances of winning.

The Octant team is eager to kick off the PG Sweepstakes and see how it enhances support for public goods within the ecosystem. Community involvement is crucial as they strive to improve and refine future initiatives. Together, they aim to make funding public goods an enjoyable journey for all. Click here to apply.
