The Scoop AI Hackathon, organized by Neo and SpoonOS, has been announced to democratize innovation at the AI-Web3 nexus. Launched in October 2025, it challenges developers, researchers, and entrepreneurs to create autonomous AI agents that operate in decentralized environments, fostering a “sentient economy” where intelligence is secure, transparent, and scalable.
With events spanning eight cities through January 2026, the hackathon blends online ideation with in-person sprints, attracting talent from academia and industry.
The series kicked off with strong showings in Moscow and Hanoi, but the recent Silicon Valley Bowl (November 22-23) stole the spotlight. Held at the Shenzhen Bay Innovation Center in Santa Clara, it drew over 92 participants who built more than 70 projects in just 48 hours.
The prize pool exceeded $50,000, with $10,000 for the grand champion, $5,000 for track runners-up, and special awards like $3,000 from Trae AI. Winners are set to be announced soon, promising further scaling through mentorship and cloud credits from partners like Google Cloud and ElevenLabs.
This campaign flips the script on traditional hackathons, where ideas from underrepresented voices often go unheard. By crowdsourcing concepts, it taps diverse perspectives. Think of it like educators proposing AI tutors on blockchain or activists envisioning transparent aid distribution agents. Over 100 ideas have surfaced since launch, covering DeFi oracles, collaborative climate models, and social good tools. To participate:
- Share your best idea for a SpoonOS-powered project on X using the hashtag #SpoonFedIdeas
- Once approved by moderators, your idea will appear on the Spoon-Fed Ideas campaign page — where developers from all eight Scoop AI Hackathon events around the world can browse for inspiration!
Developers vie across four tracks: Agentic Infrastructure for collaborative AI systems; AI4Science for breakthroughs in drug discovery or climate modeling; Autonomous Finance and Quant AI for self-executing DeFi tools; and Open Innovation for creative Web3-AI hybrids. Additional challenges, such as the Blockchain for Good track, offer $500 prizes for social impact projects. The global pot tops $100,000, supplemented by resources from sponsors including AIOZ Network, Antigma, and Boings.ai.
