Through positioning, she moved from earning

100k naira to getting a $200 gig. Violet also spoke about joining Facebook communities then in its rave and made a strategic connection that earned her a $2,000 monthly job.

Over the years, she decided that she wanted the brands the reach out to her directly rather than through applications. From research she learned about Personal Branding and found how to not loose her personality and still let brands take her seriously.

In Violet Benson’s words, “personal branding means being your authentic self while still promoting the work you do.”

To get specific opportunities from building a personal brand you need to connect with the clients emotionally and backing that up with logic.

To build a personal brand:

  1. Make sure it connects to the people you want to reach out to. Find something you and the people you are connecting with have in common.
  1. Standing out helps. Finding a way to merge all of your interests into one role, like she did with her role as a phygital strategist.

Her session teaches on personal branding and the need to always aspire for more as a digital creator. To learn more about her community where she matches talents with Hirers and Founders with Investors, connect with her.
